Is a classical dance style demanding grace and precision, employing formalised steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movements of grace & fluidity, wearing soft shoes to eventually wearing pointe shoes when the IDTA levels required are achieved.

Acro/Gymnastic Dance

Acro/Gymnastic dance classes is a sport and an art which improves your core strength, confidence, coordination, balance and flexibility. This class also includes both upper and lower body strength required to perform acrobatic and aerial stunts which is musically choreographed to dance routines without using apparatus.

Tap

Tap dance is a style of dance characterised by using the sounds of metal taps affixed to the heel and toe of shoes, rhythmically striking the floor as a form of percussion, coupled with both characteristic and interpretative body movements

Modern Jazz

Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. Jazz also has its own movement ranging from isolation of certain body parts to the movement of the entire body with the accents of musical rhythms.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance is a style that combines ballet and jazz dancing techniques, performed to music with lyrics so that it inspires expression of strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics of the song. This style concentrates on an individual approach and expressiveness of such emotions as love, joy, hurt, or anger.

Our Teeny Tots Classes

Introduction to Dance: This class based around a different theme each week, using natural actions of the body, such as running, walking, jumping, hopping, skipping & galloping. Using themes & stories, introduces tempo, rhythms, beats, patterns & steps whilst having fun too. It is structured to aid children’s physical development, coordination, spatial awareness, creativity and self-expression, working individually, with a partner or as a group. It also introduces children to other fundamental curriculum learning skills such as counting, colour and shape recognition, vocabulary & language skills. This class is specifically structured for toddler children from around 2yrs of age with Miss Jaide the Principal, who also prepares them for the next transition.
